Test series in mountain lakes in Switzerland and abroad (Lake Titicaca, Kenya, Tibet); development of dive computers Decobrain 2, Aladin, Aladin Pro, Aladin Air X, Deco Tables Bühlmann 86
On 31 May 1986, Swiss television broadcast this story.
It is about a diving expedition to the sunken ship Jura in Lake Constance. The programme lasts 1h 25m. Kurt Amsler leads the diving team. After 15 minutes, Albert A. Bühlmann is interviewed by Kurt Aeschbacher for the first time. After about 50 minutes there is a second interview with him. He explains the challenges of decompression and explains how the dive computer works, using the example of the Decobrain 2 from Divetronic AG, which he was one of the developers. Decobrain 2 calculated with 16 tissues.
On 9 March 1989, Swiss television broadcast this story.
The success story of the Aladin is shown in the programme «Netto». The producer was Uwatec AG (Karl Leemann). The software was developed by Dynatron AG (Ernst Völlm and Markus Mock). Albert A. Bühlmann worked intensively with Dynatron and Uwatec until his death in 1994. During this time, the products Aladin, Aladin Pro and Aladin Air X were introduced to the market. A computational model with 6 tissues was developed for these compact dive computers and one with 8 tissues for the Aladin Air X.
